Airbus to test humanoid robots in aircraft production
Chinese company UBTech Robotics has signed a deal with Airbus to supply aircraft manufacturing factories with its Walker S2 humanoid robots.
The robots will reportedly be tested and used for repetitive and physical tasks in aircraft manufacturing facilities, which require high precision and safety.
The Walker S2 can carry up to 15 kilograms and has an autonomous battery replacement system, working 24/7.
It is already in use by companies BYD and Foxconn.
UBTech is expanding its international presence, following a recent deal with Texas Instruments. Following the news, the company’s shares rose 6.76% to HK$142.20. /Telegraph/
